Dyeing & Winding Process

DYEING

Our dye house has the capacity to dye our own yarns and piece goods. The machinery includes:

  • Milnor for piece goods dyeing and washing
  • Scholl and Then hand and cheese dyeing machines
  • Paddle Dyeing Machines / Milling Machine
  • Colour Combi Machine

Small to large lots can be dyed from 5 kg to 250 kg. The laboratory is equipped with sample dyeing machines and testing facilities.

WINDING

We operate a Winding Section with various winding and reeling machines. Yarns are waxed or oiled and tested before knitting.

Knitting

Knitting is one of the most versatile areas of Eskimo. We use the latest technology in manufacturing knitted articles and accessories. We've invested in fully computerized knitting machines to improve quality and productivity.

DC KNITTING

This is one of the oldest machines in the factory. In the glove manufacturing process, the cuff and hand part could be knitted on this machine. Main yarn types used are Cotton, Acrylic and Wool.

FTK - FINGER THUMB KNITTING

This too is one of the oldest machines in the factory. This machine is capable of knitting fingers and thumbs to the cuff of a glove.

KOEPER MACHINE

A complete glove could be knitted on this machine. This is capable of knitting stripe patterns with 10 colours.

SHIMA SEIKI GLOVE MACHINE

Complete glove could be knitted on this machine. The specialty in this machine is the capability of knitting Thumb on palm and Thumb on the side.

WARP KNITTING

Only warp knitting structures could be knitted on this machine. Multicoloured fabric can be knitted for caps and scarves.

UNIVERSAL FLAT KNITTING MACHINES

Knitting structures such as All knit, Plain knit, Half cardigan, Full cardigan, Tubular, Half round and rib structures could be knitted on this machine. Six colours can be used. Common items include caps, scarves, and headbands.

This is the latest addition to the production of Eskimo. CMS Stoll is a fully computerized sophisticated knitting machine with the latest technology. It could handle all the knitting structures that Universal Flat Knitting machines do, and in addition it is compatible with the latest knitting structures such as ‘Aran’ Knitting, Cables knitting, and ’Ajour‘. Ability to knit multicoloured ’Jacquard’ articles is one of the key features of this machine. All kinds of jacquards and various patterns can be knitted as panels for manufacturing caps, beanies, scarves, gloves and more.

Cutting & Sewing

Process of Cutting

Knitted and woven fabrics are hand and band knife cut. Dye cutting is available when precision cutting of small parts is required.

Modern Technologies for Cutting

We use state of the art Gerber Technology, namely the Gerber Accomack software, to develop patterns, grading of patterns and marker making for the designs created in-house as well as customers' designs. The GTxL Gerber Cutter is the latest addition to outstate the art manufacturing process.

Sewing Process

The sewing department receives material from Stores as well as Cutting and Milling departments for its production process. Also, there is a sample/prototype development section. This department has the following array of machines:
