HOW WE THE ESKIMO FAMILY IS FACING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC SITUATION
The whole of Sri Lanka faced a lockdown situation from 16th March, 2020 and we established a timeline for our team to report to work with patience and understanding on the precautionary steps to be taken and procedures to follow with the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic situation. Our factory re-opened in May 2020 beginning with 50%, then gradually increasing to 75% and 100% capacity, and we also understood that due to the nature of this virus, some of our employees were working from home in the isolated areas where we were able to facilitate them with laptops and WiFi Routers in co-ordination with their Managers. The below steps were taken to help keep our employees in a safer environment: -
- Enhanced cleaning and disinfection
- One meter distance between desks and work spaces
- The staff transport vehicles too have been instructed always to sanitize and to accommodate the employees only to the number of seats available.
- Daily temperature checks upon office entry
- Issuing Face masks FOC etc.
- Washing hands often and for at least 20 seconds
- Stay 1 meter apart from the co-workers
- Wear a mask
- Stay at home if the employees are sick and if there are any symptoms to consult the medical authorities
